KAVINSKY59x Control Center

A Windows desktop app that lets a Twitch streamer run a live show from one screen: Twitch controls, OBS scene switching and the overlays shown on stream.

Private repository

01What it is

A private Electron app for the streamer behind the KAVINSKY59x channel. A dashboard drives Twitch and OBS, and a set of browser-source overlays (starting soon, gaming, chatting, BRB, ending, offline and alerts) are served locally for OBS to display. Live events from Twitch reach the overlays and the dashboard as they happen.

02What I worked on

I set up the first version of the app, then moved it to TypeScript: the Electron main process, the local service modules, the token vault and the sign-in flow, followed by a React dashboard and a Vite build for the overlays. I narrowed the bridge between the dashboard and the main process to a closed list of channels, and added a Vitest suite, git hooks and a CI check so every change passes the same verification.

03How it runs

The main process starts a small service that only listens on the local machine. OBS loads the overlays from it, and the dashboard talks to the main process, never to the network directly. Twitch tokens are encrypted with the operating system and kept outside the project, and secrets stay out of the shipped app. A native helper embeds an OBS preview in the dashboard. The app ships as a Windows installer and a portable build.
